Job summary

Merck is seeking an Associate Director for Advanced Process Analytics & Data Strategy within the Biologics PDSM organization. You will contribute hands-on in data science, process modeling, and data architecture to optimize biologics manufacturing and drive standardization across sites.

You will apply Python/R, SQL, and statistical modeling to create data-driven solutions, partner with scientists and digital teams, and ensure GMP compliance while delivering measurable manufacturing improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience applying data science, process modeling, and data architecture to biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Proven ability to build analytics solutions and partner with scientists and digital teams.
• Familiarity with GMP/GxP environments and CPV/PPM concepts.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive an advanced process analytics roadmap connecting unit operations, CPPs, and CQAs through enterprise data models.
• Lead cross-functional teams to implement analytics and digital capabilities across biologics manufacturing workflows.
• Partner with IT to design scalable, GxP‑compliant data engineering solutions and ensure data integrity (ALCOA+).
• Develop dashboards and analytics for Proactive Process Monitoring and CPV support.
