Job Description

Boston College Athletics is seeking a Creative Content Producer– Football, charged with creating dynamic digital content for the Boston College Football program. Reports to the Assistant Athletics Director, Marketing & Fan Engagement. This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, shooting, editing, and analyzing the impact of original content for BC football across social media platforms and team support. It includes developing creative strategies such as ideation, storyboarding, capturing, and editing content, as well as supporting recruiting efforts. The role will produce content for Boston College’s athletics website and BC Football social media channels, provide highlights and graphic design support to coaches, and contribute to media programming.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Video Content Creation: Film and edit videos for highlights, interviews, behind-the-scenes footage, promotional content, and fan engagement.
  2. Video and Photography: Capture live-action footage and photos during games and events, including pre- and post-game content for social media and marketing.
  3. Event Coverage: Document team events such as community outreach, press conferences, and fan interactions, capturing photos and videos.
  4. Post-Production Editing: Edit photos and videos for social media, websites, and marketing materials, ensuring timely delivery.
  5. Creative Collaboration: Work with marketing and social media teams to develop engaging content aligned with branding and promotional goals.
  6. Fan Engagement: Capture fan interactions to create content that enhances fan experience.
  7. Player Profiles & Features: Develop videos and photos highlighting players’ personalities and routines.
  8. B-Roll & Archival Footage: Maintain a library of B-roll footage and high-quality photos for future projects.
  9. Equipment Management: Assist with setting up, maintaining, and organizing photography and video equipment during events.

Salary is commensurate with experience.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in videoproduction, journalism, public relations, communications, sports management, or related field.
  • Experience in EFP/remote sports production, including equipment setup.
  • Experience working in a college athletic department or professional sports team (preferably football) in video or communications.
  • Proficiency in Premiere Pro, DSLR and Cinema-style cameras, Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
  • Knowledge of lighting and set design.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Creativity, openness to feedback, attention to detail, and proactive planning.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams, including long hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy equipment.
