Job summary

Abbott is seeking an Associate Director, Business Development and Strategic Partnerships to lead strategic collaborations within its Digital Solutions portfolio, focusing on AI-enabled cardiovascular care and imaging ecosystems. The role requires extensive BD experience, strong stakeholder management, and adept negotiation across multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, marketing, or clinical fields.
• 10+ years of experience in business development or strategic partnerships.
• Familiarity with digital health technologies, AI/ML applications, and cardiovascular imaging or clinical workflows.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence at all levels.
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Results-driven with a strategic mindset and ability to manage ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Lead the identification, evaluation, and execution of strategic partnerships and business development opportunities.
• Develop and present business cases, including ROI modeling and strategic fit assessments.
• Prioritize opportunities based on impact, feasibility, and alignment with business goals.
• Identify and evaluate opportunities across digital health, AI, cardiovascular care, and medical imaging ecosystems.
• Monitor industry trends and competitive dynamics to identify opportunities.
• Engage and negotiate with external partners to structure partnership models (co-development, licensing, JVs).
• Develop partnerships that advance AI-enabled cardiovascular care and clinical workflows.
• Collaborate with legal, regulatory, and compliance to ensure alignment and risk mitigation.
• Define governance structures and success metrics for each partnership.
