Job summary

The Indiana Catholic Conference is seeking a full-time Associate Director to work under the Executive Director, representing the five Roman Catholic Dioceses in Indiana on public policy matters. Based in Indiana, you will collaborate to shape policy positions and serve as a spokesperson.

You will develop external communications, expand ICC's advocacy network, and ensure effective messaging to legislators, officials, and the public while upholding Catholic social doctrine.

Qualifications

• Professed and practicing Catholic in good standing who understand Catholic social doctrine and its application in public life.
• Government relations and public policy experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to create communications strategy.
• Strong technology skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as spokesperson for the Catholic Church in Indiana as a registered lobbyist.
• Develop and convey policy positions to legislators, government officials and the public on behalf of the ICC.
• Execute the ICC's external communications strategy.
• Maintain and expand the ICC's advocacy network.

Compensation

Salary Range: $55,000-$65,000 commensurate with experience and qualifications
