Position Summary
FDG Web is seeking an Associate Digital Project Manager to support the successful delivery of website, e-commerce, and web application projects.
Reporting to the Delivery Manager, you will coordinate client communications, organize project activities, assist with requirements gathering, manage project tasks, and help keep projects on schedule and within scope. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with agency experience who wants to grow into a senior project management role.
Responsibilities
- Support the planning, coordination, and execution of WordPress, Shopify, e-commerce, and custom web application projects.
- Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for assigned clients while escalating strategic or complex matters to senior leadership.
- Schedule and participate in client meetings, document action items, and ensure timely follow-up.
- Gather business requirements and translate them into organized tasks and functional requirements for design and development teams.
- Create, assign, prioritize, and maintain project tasks in Asana.
- Accurately record project time and maintain project documentation using Harvest.
- Coordinate designers, developers, QA specialists, and content teams to ensure projects remain on schedule.
- Review WordPress and Shopify websites for content accuracy, functionality, and overall quality before launch.
- Assist with website launches, testing, quality assurance, and post-launch support.
- Help identify project risks, scope changes, and scheduling conflicts while communicating issues early.
- Understand user experience, customer journeys, navigation, and online consumer behavior to help improve digital experiences.
- Utilize AI tools such as ChatGPT or similar platforms to improve documentation, organization, communication, and project efficiency.
Qualifications
- Two to five years of experience in a web, software, marketing, or digital agency environment.
- Experience coordinating websites, WordPress, Shopify, e-commerce, or digital projects.
- Experience with project management platforms such as Asana, or similar.
- Experience with time tracking tools such as Harvest or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of WordPress and Shopify administrative interfaces.
- Understanding website development, UX/UI principles, and digital project lifecycles.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
- Experience working within Agile, iterative, or hybrid project delivery environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with custom web applications, APIs, integrations, or SaaS platforms.
- Familiarity with accessibility, SEO, website analytics, and conversion optimization.
- Experience creating user flows, sitemaps, wireframes, or functional requirements.
- Located on the West Coast, preferably within the Seattle, Washington region.
This is a hybrid position. Team members primarily work remotely while collaborating during regular business hours, with occasional in-person meetings at our Seattle-area office or client locations.
Candidates must have a professional home office, reliable computer equipment, and high-speed internet capable of supporting video conferencing and cloud-based collaboration.
