Fourth Street Clinic provides integrated healthcare services to individuals experiencing homelessness in Salt Lake City. Our mission is to offer high-quality, compassionate care to those who need it most. We are seeking an Associate Development Director to join our team and be an integral part of our fundraising efforts, and drive the success of our $53 million capital campaign. Position Overview:

In partnership with the Chief Development Officer (CDO), the Associate Development Director will play a key role in overseeing our Capital Campaign while supporting overall fundraising strategy and execution. The Associate Development Director will manage relationships with donors, stakeholders, and the community, ensuring the success of both our Capital Campaign and annual fundraising initiatives. This role is ideal for a dynamic, results-driven fundraising professional with proven experience in fundraising and capital campaigns who is looking for a career in nonprofit healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:

Associate Development Director Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with individuals, corporate, and foundation donors.
  • Plan and coordinate donor recognition events and engagement activities that foster long-term relationships.
  • Partner with the CDO to oversee all aspects of fundraising, including major gifts, corporate sponsorships, and grants.
  • Create compelling fundraising proposals, presentations, and materials to engage and solicit donors.
  • Collaborate with the Development/Communications Manager to produce messaging, campaign content, and digital outreach.
  • Assist in preparing regular updates and progress reports on fundraising updates for stakeholders and the board.

Capital Campaign Responsibilities:

  • Support the execution and ongoing progress of the Capital Campaign, tracking key milestones and meeting goals.
  • Assist the CDO in preparing materials and reports for Capital Campaign Committee meetings.
  • Coordinate donor visits and solicitation efforts in partnership with the CDO, Capital Campaign Committee, and other key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the CDO and Capital Campaign Committee to identify and engage prospective donors at the individual, corporate, and foundation levels.
  • Oversee the grant request and proposal process for the Capital Campaign, working closely with staff and volunteers.
  • Partner with the Development/Communications Manager and the Donor Database Coordinator to create and edit campaign-related materials, such as acknowledgements, follow-up letters, and newsletters.
  • Manage campaign events and coordinate related publicity, promotion, and engagement.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and support the development team, including staff and volunteers, to achieve fundraising goals.
  • Collaborate with Executive and Senior Leadership Teams to align fundraising strategies with organizational priorities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in fundraising, capital campaigns, or nonprofit development.
  • Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding fundraising goals.
  • Proven experience in grant writing and securing grants from foundation and government grants.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences and build lasting relationships.
  • Excellent project management and organization skills; able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Raiser's Edge (or similar fundraising management software) and Microsoft Office Suite.
