Job summary

Chubb External is seeking a skilled software developer to join our engineering team in Stamford. You will design, build, deliver, and maintain end‑to‑end applications powering our reinsurance platforms, while gaining domain knowledge and ramping up quickly.

You will work with agile teams to translate requirements into technical solutions, debug complex issues, and ensure robust, well-documented code across the stack. A strong mix of frontend and backend skills is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• 3–5 years of professional software development experience.
• Experience with Node.js, Java, .NET, or Python.
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and Angular.
• Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases.
• Experience with unit, integration, and automated testing frameworks.
• Proven experience with Git or similar source control systems.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Understand DevOps and Agile methodologies.

• Demonstrated knowledge of relational and non-relational databases
• Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and automated testing frameworks
• Proven experience with Git or similar source control systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of troubleshooting complex software defects
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-organizational teams
