Job summary

The North Face is seeking an Associate designer – Women’s Apparel to join our design team. You will support the women’s apparel design team on seasonal product design, focusing on performance and lifestyle pieces for Snow/Climb/Trail and beyond.

You will learn foundational skills in design processes, present concepts at reviews, and collaborate with cross-functional partners while maintaining brand aesthetic and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in product design.
• Good understanding of fit, silhouette, construction, materials.
• Proficient with Illustrator, Photoshop and Office.
• Knowledge of design process, milestones and deadlines.
• Experience with PLM systems and tech-packing.
• Strong sketching and attention to detail.
• Experience researching, prototyping and concepting lifestyle and performance products.
• Understanding of designing to cost and brief.
• Cross-functional collaboration and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Support the team on elevating design expression and seasonal product design work.
• Work on Snow/Climb/Trail and lifestyle product aligned with brand territories.
• Assist with seasonal research, tool updates, concepts, product design and tech-packing.
• Execute and create low complexity products with direction from designers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners and the design team.
• Present ideas at design reviews and contribute to seasonal briefs.
• Maintain brand aesthetic, materials and fit understanding.
• Contribute to team reviews, workshops and events.
