Job summary

Sweet Apparel Inc. in New York seeks a Sock/Hosiery Designer to join our fast-paced design team. You will work with the Design Director on the product design cycle for socks, sketch flats in Illustrator, and create tech packs through pre-production.

The role requires 1+ year experience in sock/hosiery design, proficiency in Illustrator/Photoshop/Excel, and strong communication in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment. On-site in Midtown Manhattan.

Qualifications

• Degree in Fashion Design.
• 1+ years experience in Sock/Hosiery Design.
• Knowledge of sock/hosiery design and construction.

Responsibilities

• Work with Design Director on all facets of the product design cycle for Socks.
• Ability to sketch accurate design flats on Adobe Illustrator.
• Develop and design new ideas and create visually pleasing design CADS.
• Create accurate and detailed tech packs.
• Daily review and follow up with factories on garment life cycle, from lab dips & strike offs to Pre-Production and TOP samples.
• Proactive market and trend research to always be on top of market trends.
• Ability to adhere to calendar to ensure deadlines are met.
• Track and manage sample status.
• Assist with records and samples organized.
• Build collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams including production, and sales.

Please note: this is an on-site position in Midtown Manhattan where we work in office 5 days/week!

Target compensation for this role starts at $60k/yr dependent on experience
