Job summary

Macy's is seeking an Associate Designer to bring dynamic creativity to the product development process. You will collaborate with leaders to create cohesive presentations and contribute to design decisions across materials, colors, and styles using Adobe and CLO.

As an emerging leader, you will inspire a one-team mindset, participate in meetings, and respond to customer feedback while supporting Macy's brand and design community.

Qualifications

• Create original designs with a strong creative vision.
• Collaborate with leaders to produce cohesive presentations (boards, tear sheets, CADS).
• Partner with Senior Designer/Design Director on product designs and strategy.
• Utilize Adobe and CLO for style, color and pattern development.

Responsibilities

• Develop robust skills in researching categories, trends and customer preferences, and communicate findings.
• Create original designs as a motivated designer.
• Collaborate to produce boards, tear sheets, CADS and samples to sell the collection.
• Work with Senior Designer/Design Director to align designs with strategy and merchandise objectives.
• Select styles, materials, trims and colors that fit program plans with leadership support.
• Develop sketches and development packages and provide feedback on samples.
