Job summary

Hitachi Global Air Power US, LLC is seeking an Associate Designer in Michigan City, IN to create and refine 3D CAD models of compressor sub-systems. You will model vendor parts, release parts in PLM, and support multiple projects for a team of engineers.

The role requires 1–4 years in engineering/manufacturing, strong NX 12 experience, and familiarity with ERP/PLM tools. You will work in a collaborative setting with engineers and staff engineers to ensure robust, safe designs.

Qualifications

• AS Degree minimum.
• 1-4 years’ engineering/manufacturing environment.
• Strong 3D parametric modeling skills.
• Experience using PLM software such as ECTR.
• Ability to create complex assemblies using constraints.
• Understanding of P&ID diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Create 3D CAD models of complex compressor sub-systems.
• Model new vendor parts as needed.
• Prepare Engineering Requests to release parts and drawings.
• Provide status updates to management on projects.
• Assist in training and mentoring of less experienced team members.
