Job summary

Sporty and Rich in Los Angeles is seeking a collaborative Fashion Designer/Technical Designer to work closely with the Design Director to execute seasonal collections that reflect the brand’s elevated aesthetic and authenticity.

You will sketch across categories, update linesheets and concept boards, manage CAD colorups, and participate in material sourcing with mills and factories to bring designs to life. The role is in-office with some days remote and starts ASAP.

Qualifications

• Located in Los Angeles
• Degree in Fashion Design
• 2-5 years of experience in Fashion Design or Technical Design
• Strong Illustrator sketching abilities
• Experience in tech pack execution

Responsibilities

• Sketch into all categories under the Design Director's direction
• Update and manage linesheets/concept boards
• Manage all sketch updates and CAD colorups
• Participate in material sourcing and development with mills and factories
• Launch all artwork packages with factories and manage correspondence
• Manage lab dip, strikeoff, and hand loom comments and approvals with PD/factories
• Help build and update tech packs under Design Director and Tech Designer's direction
• Build construction pages
• Execute additional detail sketches as needed
• Assist in sending out T/P’s to factories
• Assist Technical Designer with tasks as needed (help prepare for fittings, measure samples, prepare comments from fittings to factory)
• Participate in fittings, ensuring each garment meets S&R’s standards of fit, comfort, and quality
