Job summary

Valmont Industries, Inc. in Valley, NE is seeking an Associate Design Engineer to lead mechanical design and development aligned with product requirements.

You will coordinate a design team across Manufacturing, Procurement, Service, Quality, and Engineering Services while ensuring milestones are met and design efficiency is optimized. The role involves attending design reviews, applying standard procedures, and driving improvements in product development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering is required.
• Proficiency in MS Office and strong communication skills are expected.
• Experience with 3D CAD and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% domestically or internationally.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver innovative mechanical designs to meet customer needs.
• Lead cross-functional teams to ensure design quality and manufacturability.
• Participate in design reviews and provide input on best practices.
• Coordinate engineering technicians and support testing activities.
• Maintain project documentation per development procedures.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing and other departments to optimize design efficiency.
• Provide technical support and travel as required by projects.
