Job summary

ENTRUST Solutions Group is seeking a Distribution Planning Engineer to deepen expertise in DER/DG and step into an Associate role. You'll shape how solar, storage, wind, and other resources are integrated into utility distribution systems.

In this position you’ll perform planning studies, develop models, collaborate with teams, and support client discussions and deliverables. Travel up to 5% may be required; FE/EIT or the ability to obtain is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• ~2+ years of experience in electric utility or distribution planning.
• Experience with distribution modeling and engineering analysis tools (e.g. CYME, Synergi).
• Experience supporting DER/DG interconnection or planning studies.

Responsibilities

• Perform DER/DG interconnection and distribution planning studies (hosting capacity, power flow, voltage).
• Evaluate DER impacts and identify constraints and mitigations.
• Develop and maintain distribution models using CYME, Synergi, or similar tools.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support integrated planning.
• Support client-facing project work and study reviews.
