Job summary

42 North Dental in Portland, ME seeks a dentist to deliver comprehensive care across restorative and aesthetic dentistry, with in-office specialty services including periodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, and orthodontics.

Annual earnings range from $150,000 to $200,000 USD, with production-based compensation and strong upside based on case mix and schedule. Flexible schedule, no nights or weekends, and a supportive team accompany this opportunity.

Qualifications

• DMD or DDS degree from an ADA CODA-accredited program.
• Current license to practice dentistry in the relevant state.
• Vaccination against Hepatitis B documented.
• Proof of malpractice insurance.
• BLS or CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Promote oral health and disease prevention.
• Diagnose oral diseases and plan treatment.
• Educate patients on oral health and options.
• Create and review treatment plans to maintain oral health.
• Review treatment options with patients.
• Maintain and update medical and dental records.
• Review and interpret x-rays and diagnostic tests; monitor growth of teeth/jaws.
• Provide restorative and preventive dental care.
• Perform surgical procedures on teeth, bone, and soft tissues.
• Uphold high standards of ethics and professionalism.
• Keep current with developments, technologies, and best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Promote oral health and disease prevention
• Diagnose oral diseases
• Educate patients on oral health and various treatment options
• Create treatment plans to maintain or restore patient's oral health
• Review treatment plan options with patients
• Review, maintain and update patients' medical and dental records
• Review and interpret x-rays and diagnostic testsMonitor growth and development of the teeth and jaws
• Provide proper restorative and preventive dental care
• Perform surgical procedures on the teeth, bone and soft tissues of the oral cavity
• Maintain the highest quality standard of care for all patients Maintain the highest standard of ethics and professionalism
• Keep abreast of new developments, technologies, best practices and standard of care through current continuing education courses and professional development

Skills & Qualifications:

• DMD or DDS degree from a university-based dental education program accredited by the American Dental Association Commission on Dental Accreditation (ADA CODA)
• Current state license to practice dentistry
• Documentation of Hepatitis B vaccination
• Proof of malpractice insurance
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification
