Job summary

42North Dental in Woodbury, CT is seeking a Dentist to provide comprehensive care from exam to treatment. You will lead patient care across preventive, restorative, endodontic, periodontic, and surgical services with an emphasis on high-quality outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds a DDS or DMD from an ADA CODA-accredited program, a current state license, Hepatitis B vaccination record, malpractice insurance, and BLS/CPR certification. Competitive annual pay with broad benefits.

Qualifications

• DDS or DMD degree from ADA CODA-accredited program.
• Current state license to practice dentistry.
• Documentation of Hepatitis B vaccination.
• Proof of malpractice insurance.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Promote oral health and disease prevention.
• Diagnose oral diseases.
• Educate patients on oral health and treatment options.
• Create treatment plans to maintain or restore oral health.
• Review treatment plan options with patients.
• Review, maintain and update patients' medical and dental records.
• Review and interpret x-rays and diagnostic tests.
• Monitor growth and development of the teeth and jaws.
• Provide proper restorative and preventive dental care.
• Perform surgical procedures on teeth, bone and soft tissues.
• Maintain the highest quality standard of care for all patients.
• Maintain the highest standard of ethics and professionalism.
• Keep abreast of new developments via continuing education and professional development.
