Job summary

Meridian Health Services in Marion, Indiana seeks an Associate Dentist for a full-time role based in Marion with occasional support at Fort Wayne and Portland locations.

Provide comprehensive dental care, diagnose and develop treatment plans, educate patients, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support whole-person care. Requires DDS/DMD and Indiana license; NHSC loan repayment eligibility is offered.

Qualifications

  • DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school.
  • Current Indiana dental license or ability to obtain.
  • DEA and CSR certification.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive dental examinations and assessments.
  • Diagnose and develop treatment plans for dental needs.
  • Provide preventive, restorative, and emergency dental care.
  • Educate patients on oral health, options, and preventive care.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging as needed.
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support whole-person care.
  • Manage dental emergencies and urgent patient needs.
  • Ensure continuity of care through follow-up visits and communication.
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and regulatory requirements.

What You'll Do

As an Associate Dentist, you'll have the opportunity to provide comprehensive dental care while developing meaningful relationships with patients and families.

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform comprehensive dental examinations and assessments.
  • Diagnose and develop treatment plans for acute and long-term dental needs.
  • Provide preventive, restorative, and emergency dental care.
  • Educate patients on oral health, treatment options, and preventive care.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to support whole-person care.
  • Manage dental emergencies and urgent patient needs.
  • Ensure continuity of care through follow-up visits and patient communication.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA and all regulatory requirements.
  • Stay current with advancements in dentistry and evidence-based practices.
What We're Looking For
Education
  • DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school
Licensure
  • Current Indiana Dental License (or ability to obtain)
  • DEA and CSR certification
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in community health, public health, FQHC, or rural dentistry settings
  • Passion for serving diverse and underserved populations
