Job summary

Village Dental in The Villages, FL is seeking an Associate Dentist to join a small, doctor-led practice that emphasizes comprehensive care and patient relationships. You’ll perform general dentistry with room to grow into implants and larger cases.

You’ll benefit from mentorship from two owner doctors, a guaranteed daily rate, a four-day work week, and an active patient flow across three offices. This is a fee-for-service, out-of-network environment with a supportive clinical team.

Responsibilities

• Build patient base with comprehensive exams and new patient emergencies.
• Diagnose and plan treatments with mentorship from owner doctors on complex cases.
• Provide general dentistry: restorative, crowns, endodontics, extractions, removable prosthetics.
• Collaborate with hygiene team and assistants to maintain care quality.
• Communicate clearly with patients about options and care plans.

Job description

Village Dental is a fee-for-service, out-of-network private practice with three offices in The Villages, Florida, one of the fastest-growing communities in the country. Dr. Edward Farrell, MAGD, founded the practice in 1997, and today our two owner doctors and current associate serve patients across all three offices as one practice. We’re adding an Associate Dentist to grow with us.

This is a real opportunity to build a practice the right way: on a guaranteed daily rate, with a steady flow of new patients, two experienced owner doctors to learn from, and a patient base that wants comprehensive care and can afford it. We’re not a DSO and we don’t run on insurance fee schedules. We take the time to do dentistry well, we explain things clearly, and we build long-term relationships with our patients.

What you’ll do

• Build your patient base through new patient comprehensive exams, new patient emergencies, and second-opinion consults
• Diagnose and treatment plan comprehensively, with mentorship from our owner doctors on complex restorative, implant, and smile makeover cases
• Provide general dentistry: restorative, crown and bridge, endodontics, extractions, and removable prosthetics, with room to grow into implant restoration and larger cases
• Work alongside an established hygiene team and experienced dental assistants
• Communicate clearly and warmly with patients so they understand their options and trust their care

What we’re looking for

• DDS or DMD and an active Florida dental license, or Florida licensure in process
• Recent graduates and residents finishing GPR or AEGD programs are welcome; experienced dentists are too
• Strong clinical fundamentals and a desire to keep improving
• A relationship-based, comprehensive-care mindset; you’d rather do it right than do it fast
• A clear, confident communicator who enjoys talking with patients, many of whom are active retirees with time to ask good questions
