Job description

The Associate Dentist is a leadership role within the team, responsible for boosting team morale and ensuring smooth patient flow. They are primarily tasked with educating patients about their dental conditions and necessary treatments to restore oral health. The role involves close collaboration with team members to foster a cohesive environment. Additionally, the Associate Dentist monitors practice KPIs, collaborates with the Clinical Director, COO, and Practice Manager to develop strategic plans for growth and profitability.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead and motivate the organization’s culture and core values within your practice.
2. Collaborate with the Clinical Director, COO, and Practice Manager to set growth goals.
3. Analyze and strategize office KPIs with leadership.
4. Assess patients, obtain medical histories, and develop treatment plans.
5. Present treatment plans to patients, explaining risks and benefits.
6. Perform dental procedures such as extractions, fillings, crowns, bridges, dentures, root canals, etc.
7. Educate patients about their oral health and its relation to overall health.
8. Monitor patient progress and communicate with staff to ensure quality care.
9. Maintain accurate records of patient treatments and health status.

Personal Leadership:

1. Stay updated on developments in the dental field.
2. Partner with the clinical team to ensure quality patient care.
3. Monitor KPIs to identify areas of excellence and needs for improvement.
4. Work with Practice Manager and COO to develop processes for addressing underperformance.
5. Be available as a backup for other dentists in the organization.

Requirements:

1. Doctor of Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS).
2. Valid state license and malpractice insurance.
3. Compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
4. Maintain ongoing continuing education.
