Job summary

Savannah Dental is seeking an Associate Dentist to deliver a distinctive patient experience and collaborate with our leadership team to uphold the highest standards of care and morale.

Responsibilities include treatment planning; diagnosing and performing restorative, surgical, and cosmetic procedures; interpreting radiographs; educating patients on prevention; and using CBCT/intraoral cameras. This is a full-time, on-site role in Savannah, GA.

Qualifications

  • Doctorate of dental surgery or dental medicine is required.
  • One to three years of associate experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Formulate treatment plans for patients’ oral health and make recommendations.
  • Diagnose and provide restorative, crowns/bridges, root canals, extractions, implants, and cosmetic dentistry.
  • Interpret radiographs to inform decisions and judgment.
  • Perform surgical procedures on teeth, bone, and soft tissues.
  • Educate patients on preventative care and hygiene routines.
  • Examine medical records to make proper diagnoses and ensure confidentiality.
  • Use CBCT and intraoral camera to aid decision making.
  • Collaborate with Director of Operations and Owner Dentist to optimize workflow.

Job description

Scope of Position: The Associate Dentist is responsible for delivering a distinctive patient experience to our established & growing patient base. Our dentists play a leading part in collaborating with our leadership team to ensure the highest standards of patient care & team morale.

  • Formulate plan of treatment for patient’s oral health & make recommendations.
  • Diagnose & provide appropriate treatment, including restorative, crowns/bridges, root canals,extractions, implants, & cosmetic dentistry.
  • Interpret radiographs to make informed decisions & proper judgement.
  • Performing surgical procedures on the teeth, bone & soft tissues of the oral cavity.
  • Advise & educate patients regarding preventative dental care, the causes & treatment of dental
  • issues, as related.
  • Examine patients’ medical records & make proper treatment diagnoses.
  • Use state-of-the-art equipment to make informed decisions, such as CBCT, Intraoral Camera,
  • etc.
  • Educate patients on proper oral health, preventative care, & other hygiene routines.
  • Design & fit dental prosthodontic appliances, such as bridges, crowns, retainers, etc.
  • Collaborate with our Director of Operations & Owner Dentist to create an efficient workflow of the
  • clinical function, & the patient experience.
  • Comply with all OSHA & HIPAA regulations, ensuring patients treatment & concerns are adhered
  • with strict confidentiality.
  • Other duties as assigned by Director of Operations.

Work Conditions:

This position will perform duties under normal office working conditions, including the prolonged use of a computer, office equipment, and working in close proximity to others. Essential physical requirements may include standing, walking, stooping, typing, and lifting up to 25lbs.
