Job summary

California State University, Chico is seeking an Associate Dean of Undergraduate Education to lead programs such as First-Year Experience, Honors, REACH Center, Civic Engagement, and Undergraduate Research. This role reports to the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education and Academic Success and oversees a diverse team to advance student success and belonging.

The ideal candidate holds a doctorate, has leadership experience in higher education, and can drive strategic planning, budget

Qualifications

• Doctorate or appropriate terminal degree in Undergraduate Education or related field.
• Five (5) years of progressively responsible leadership experience in higher education administration, academic affairs, student success, enrollment management, or related field.
• Direct experience in managing a unit.
• Teaching, scholarly activity and service in student success, retention, equity in higher education.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for programs within Undergraduate Education and Academic Success.
• Supervise nine faculty leaders, managers, and professional staff.
• Align portfolio with Academic Affairs and University priorities.
• Collaborate with Vice Provost to set priorities and ensure accountability.
