Job summary

Endicott College in Beverly, MA is seeking an Associate Dean of Undergraduate Nursing Programs to lead the School of Nursing’s undergraduate curriculum and program outcomes. Reporting to the Dean, you will collaborate with program chairs, faculty, and staff to advance experiential learning and student success.

Responsibilities

  • 25% Time Ensure a high-quality undergraduate curriculum with exceptional program outcomes, supported by meaningful, innovative, and experiential teaching strategies that align with the mission of the School of Nursing and the College.
  • Monitor NCLEX pass rates at or above the School of Nursing's expected level of achievement, while meeting accreditation benchmarks and state and national pass rate expectations.
  • Support licensure success through the oversight, implementation, and effective use of student success and assessment resources, including ATI.
  • Collaborate with undergraduate Program Chairs to identify curricular needs related to adjunct, laboratory, simulation, and clinical faculty.
  • Assist with the vetting, appointment, orientation, and mentoring of faculty members while fostering a culture of inclusivity, collegiality, and community within the School of Nursing.
  • Participates in hiring faculty for undergraduates and oversees their continued professional growth.
  • Supervise direct reports and promote a positive, inclusive work environment that supports professional growth, academic innovation, and excellence.
  • Assist the Dean with the development and management of operating and capital budgets.
  • 25% Ensure a positive and supportive student experience through direct oversight of student issues across all undergraduate nursing programs.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for undergraduate student issues in collaboration with Program Chairs, full-time faculty, academic advisors, and appropriate college departments, including Student Success, Housing, Health Services, Career Services, International Education, Community Service, the Chaplain's Office, Athletics, the Registrar, Financial Aid, and Admissions.
  • Provide leadership and support related to student progression, academic concerns, retention, professionalism, and overall student success across the undergraduate nursing programs.
  • Collaborate with faculty, advisors, and college departments to address student needs in a timely, fair, consistent, and student-centered manner.
  • 25% Provide leadership and oversight for simulation centers and laboratories, clinical education, and internship experiences within the undergraduate nursing programs.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Simulation and Labs and the Director of the Clinical Placement Office to ensure that: Experiential learning opportunities are meaningful, well-coordinated, and aligned with program outcomes.
  • Clinical, simulation-based, and internship experiences strengthen students' clinical judgment, professional development, and readiness for nursing practice.
  • Faculty, clinical partners, and professional staff collaborate effectively to promote consistency, quality, and continuous improvement across experiential learning settings.
  • Required accreditation processes, standards, and documentation are consistently followed, maintained, and evaluated in these areas.
  • 15% Support School of Nursing operations, student advising, recruitment, and professional engagement through service to the school, college, and broader community.
  • Support Admission and Recruiting events Advises students based on needs of the school. Supports the Academic Coordinator with the Course of Study and oversees student registration and scheduling concerns.
  • 10% Assist the SON in successful program-level and institutional-level accreditation activities with all accreditation and oversight boards. MA Board of Registration in Nursing (MABORN) Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE) Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The Associate Dean of Undergraduate Nursing Programs serves as a member of the School of Nursing leadership team. Reporting to the Dean, and working in close collaboration with the Associate Dean of Nursing Programs and the Associate Dean of the School of Nursing and Health Sciences, this position provides leadership and oversight for the development, implementation, and evaluation of innovative, high-quality undergraduate academic programs within the School of Nursing.


The Associate Dean of Undergraduate Nursing Programs supports the advancement of academic excellence by guiding faculty and professional staff in the development of initiatives and academic activities that promote student success, support the achievement of expected program outcomes, and align with the Endicott College mission of providing meaningful experiential learning opportunities. An academic appointment, if applicable, will be determined separately in accordance with the College's academic appointment process.
