Job summary
The Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine invites applications and nominations for the position of Associate Dean for Professional Education, a 50% appointment.
The ADPE provides strategic and operational leadership for the DVM curriculum, partnering with college leaders to monitor student success, foster educational innovation, and contribute to the Veterinary College of the Future Initiative.
Qualifications
- A Doctorate (DVM, MD or PhD) is required.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional education.
- Exceptional leadership and management abilities.
- Experience in curriculum development, program evaluation, accreditation and assessment.
- Ability to advance educational innovation and inter-professional education.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for the DVM curriculum.
- Monitor student success and refine the curriculum using outcomes data.
- Collaborate with Health and Well-being to promote student wellness.
- Lead inter-professional education with Nursing and Graduate Studies.
- Advance the Veterinary College of the Future Initiative through innovative teaching.
- Represent the College on university and external committees.
- Support AVMA accreditation processes and institutional reporting.
