Summary of Job Duties:

The UAMS College of Nursing seeks a visionary scientist for the role of Associate Dean of Research. This is a 12-month, full-time tenure/tenure-track faculty position with 50% effort as Associate Dean, and the remaining effort engaging in teaching, research, and/or service at the rank of Associate or Full Professor.

The Associate Dean reports directly to the Dean and represents the college's research interests within UAMS and the Arkansas System. Responsibilities include mentoring faculty, coordinating research programs, fostering collaborations, and promoting extramurally funded research.

Qualifications:

• Research doctorate
• Qualifications for associate or full professor
• Active extramural funded research, including NIH R01 or Center Grant
• Active clinical research program
• Mentoring skills
• Experience with team science and collaborations
• Knowledge of funding opportunities
• Experience collaborating with nursing scientists (preferred)
