Job summary

MITRE seeks an Associate Data Scientist to advance data science and analytical techniques for national challenges. You will join a technical workforce applying Analytics, Data Science, ML, MBSE, Digital Engineering, and System-of-Systems thinking to mission-critical problems.

The role emphasizes collaboration across government-sponsored projects, a strong aptitude for learning new tools, and readiness to work on-site multiple days per week in support of security clearances.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in data science, CS, math, stats, physics, engineering or related field.
• Familiarity with Python and MATLAB for data analysis.
• Knowledge of MBSE and Digital Engineering concepts.
• Experience with statistical analysis, data modeling, and data analysis.
• Interest in complex, multi-disciplinary data problems and learning new tools.
• U.S. citizen with ability to obtain/maintain Secret clearance; on-site 3 days a week.

Responsibilities

• Apply data science and analytical techniques to national challenges.
• Use modern methods to assess capabilities, architectures, design and test approaches.
• Evaluate architectures with qualitative and quantitative techniques.
• Develop metrics to measure robustness, interoperability, and maintainability.
• Support requirements/interface/architecture change management.
• Perform data analysis, modeling, and system design across projects.
