Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking an Associate Data Scientist to support data-driven profitability, efficiency, and AI-enabled workflows across MET operations. You will collaborate with Data Scientists to deploy models at scale and apply optimization, CV, NLP, and information-retrieval techniques.

Ideal candidates combine a quantitative degree with hands-on ML experience, strong communication, and the ability to translate insights into actionable business improvements in a retail environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field such as CS, Math, Stats, or similar.
• 2+ years of experience in developing ML/AI models to solve business problems.
• Experience in BI and analytics and proficiency with SQL/BigQuery.
• Strong communication skills and ability to translate data insights into actions.

Responsibilities

• 70% Solution Development - design and develop algorithms/models on large datasets to drive insights and business outcomes.
• 20% Communicating Results - present findings to technical and non-technical audiences and support reporting.
• 10% Technical Learning - stay current on industry trends and continuously improve skills.
