Job summary

KPMG LLP is currently seeking a Data Scientist to join our Audit Technology Alliance in Dallas, TX. The role focuses on developing and implementing AI components, including RAG pipelines and context engineering, within our architecture.

You will collaborate with AI engineers and other data scientists to integrate outputs into the microservice stack, leveraging LangChain, Azure AI Search, and our AKS-based infrastructure. Strong learning orientation and teamwork are required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of experience or strong internship/academic projects in data science, ML, or software engineering.
  • Master's degree preferred; Bachelor's degree required.
  • Foundational knowledge of ML concepts and Python for data analysis; familiarity with LLMs and LangChain is preferred.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and data platforms like Databricks.
  • Familiarity with SDLC and version control tools like ADO and GitHub.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement core components of generative AI solutions, including RAG pipelines and context engineering features.
  • Support senior team members in building and testing modules for RAG pipelines and context systems.
  • Collaborate with AI engineers and data scientists to integrate model outputs into microservice architecture.
  • Learn and apply the technology stack (LangChain, LangGraph, Azure AI Search, AKS-based infra).
  • Document experiments, drive continuous improvement, and participate in agile ceremonies.
