Job summary

Happen Bank is seeking a Fraud and Data Science specialist to transform large datasets into actionable fraud strategy insights. You will analyze SQL/Python data, develop detection models and rules, and monitor performance metrics.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, data visualization with Tableau, and a rigorous approach to protecting sensitive information. Hybrid work in San Francisco supports in-office collaboration.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in data science, fraud analytics, decision science, or a related analytical function.
  • Hands-on SQL and statistical programming experience (such as Python) working with large datasets and producing reproducible analysis.
  • Working knowledge of statistical analysis, data visualization, and measuring model or strategy performance.
  • Ability to translate analytical findings into clear recommendations for both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Practical familiarity with AI tools, with the judgment to apply them to real-world analytical problems.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to map business questions to analytical methods, supporting solutions from analysis through implementation.
  • Use AI-assisted tools when appropriate to accelerate exploration, coding, and documentation while validating outputs and protecting sensitive data.

Requirements

  • Ability to translate analytical findings into clear recommendations for both technical and business stakeholders

    Salary: USD 125,000 - 145,000 per year
