Job summary

Gartner seeks an Associate Data Scientist to join the Marketing Technology team within GSSO. You will build AI-powered solutions that accelerate Sales and Marketing productivity, partnering with Product Owners, engineers, and data scientists to transform prospecting for Gartner's 7,000+ sales associates.

You will prototype AI capabilities, design LLM-based agents, and apply NLP to derive actionable insights while translating business needs into scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
• 1+ years of experience applying data science and ML techniques in professional work, internships, or research.
• Experience with Python, SQL, statistical analysis, and databases.
• Curiosity and growth mindset, with interest in Generative AI and ML.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in ambiguous environments.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts and connect solutions to business outcomes.
• Experience with prompt engineering, retrieval techniques, model evaluation, or agent orchestration is a plus.
• Collaborative, inclusive, and respectful team player.
• Proven ability to manage tasks end-to-end and meet deadlines.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and innovative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement LLM-based agents that automate business workflows.
• Apply NLP and Generative AI to derive actionable insights from data.
• Design, test, and optimize prompts, retrieval strategies, and agent workflows.
• Build recommendation solutions like prospect interest prediction and outreach suggestions.
• Prototype AI capabilities, evaluate impact, and move pilots to production.
• Partner with Product Managers, stakeholders, and engineers to translate business needs into scalable solutions.
• Stay current on AI advancements and share best practices with the team.
