Job summary

TTX Company in Charlotte, NC seeks a data-oriented professional to support data-driven decision-making across maintenance, fleet management, and planning. You will prepare data, validate results, and build reports and dashboards under senior guidance.

You will help automate recurring tasks, support optimization and predictive modeling, and identify data quality issues, trends, and improvement opportunities to enhance fleet reliability and planning.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
  • 0–2 years of analytical, reporting, or data science experience.
  • Experience with SQL, Python data analysis libraries, data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau, and advanced Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Data Science/Analysis: Collect, clean, validate, and prepare data from operational and business systems for analysis, reporting, and modeling.
  • Assist in building, testing, and documenting statistical, predictive, and optimization models under senior guidance.
  • Identify trends, validate results, and flag data quality concerns that may affect analytical outcomes.
  • Maintain analytical workflows, notebooks, code repositories, and documentation.
  • Support maintenance planning, capacity analysis, and production decisions by projecting repair demand and resource needs.
  • Reporting: Develop and automate recurring reports, dashboards, and metrics related to maintenance activity, fleet health, availability, reliability, and bad order trends.
  • Assist with self-service data stores and train users on best practices for self-service analysis tools.
  • Evaluate and improve critical data table structures to increase reporting efficiency and query performance.
  • Planning and Forecasting: Support quarterly planning, forecasting, and continuous improvement activities by identifying trends that affect fleet availability, reliability, maintenance performance, and resource efficiency.
  • Technical Expertise: Write SQL queries and develop basic algorithms in Excel and Python.
  • Use visualization and analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Microsoft Fabric, and related platforms.
  • Apply linear and non-linear optimization techniques where appropriate.
  • Leverage Power Automate and Power Apps to streamline recurring processes and reduce manual effort.
  • Document data flows, business requirements, reporting processes, governance practices, and workflow standards.

Job description

Support data-driven decision-making across TTX’s maintenance, fleet management, and operational planning functions through analysis, reporting, automation, and foundational data science techniques.

Working under the guidance of senior analysts and data scientists, this role prepares and validates data, develops reports and dashboards, automates recurring processes, supports optimization and predictive modeling, and identifies trends, data quality issues, and opportunities for process improvement.

The position provides an opportunity to build technical and business knowledge while contributing to projects that improve fleet reliability, maintenance planning, operational efficiency, and strategic decision-making.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Data Science/Analysis

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Economics, or a related quantitative field
  • 0–2 years of relevant analytical, reporting, or data science experience
  • Experience with SQL, Python data analysis libraries, data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau, and advanced Microsoft Office applications
  • Familiarity with Power Platform, GitHub or version control, Microsoft Fabric, Azure, or cloud-based analytics platforms preferred
  • Demonstrated aptitude for disciplined, objective, detail-oriented analysis
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, planning, and organizational skills, with the ability to work across management levels and cross-functional teams
