Job summary

MAP in Austin, TX is seeking an Associate Data Engineer who will join the Data Insights and Science team to learn and build data pipelines, explore cloud platforms, and support marketing analytics initiatives for global brands.

You will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and engineers, writing SQL and Python, while learning modern data stack tools like dbt, Airflow, BigQuery and Snowflake, under senior guidance.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in data engineering or related quantitative field.
• Good foundational coding skills in Python and SQL.
• Understanding of ETL/ELT processes and relational databases.
• Basic exposure to cloud platforms (GCP/AWS/Azure) and modern data tools.
• Familiarity with Git/GitHub workflows.

Responsibilities

• Assist in identifying and integrating data from multiple sources by building reliable data pipelines.
• Write clean SQL and Python to optimize data workflows under guidance.
• Monitor daily ETL flows and data quality checks.
• Troubleshoot data pipeline incidents and assist in debugging.
• Collaborate with CRM developers, data scientists, analysts and product owners to deliver high-quality data.
