Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Digital Forensics, or related field.
• Active cybersecurity certification (e.g., Security+, CySA+, GCIH, CSA, GSEC, CEH, CCNA Cyber Ops) preferred.
• 6+ months of experience in SOC or security incident response.
• 6+ months of experience with SIEM/SOAR platforms.
• 6+ months of experience with cloud security principles (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Responsibilities

• Monitor work queues for alerts of potential threats and intrusions.
• Assess validity and scope of cybersecurity alerts to determine actionability.
• Confirm accuracy of alert data and identify malicious behaviors.
• Leverage AI tools to streamline workflows and automate tasks.
• Escalate verified incidents to proper response teams in a timely manner.
• Document triage details and technical findings for incident response.
• Evaluate emerging security trends to inform defense strategies.
• Collaborate in a 24/7/365 Tier 1 incident response team.
