Job summary

Mars, Incorporated and its Affiliates in Chicago is seeking an Associate Customer Manager to drive sales objectives and develop customer business plans.

You will own the P&L for key accounts, manage budgets, and deliver category growth through strategic promotions and data-driven insights. Mars offers a competitive salary, bonus, and access to Mars University.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
• 4+ Years’ experience in Sales, Marketing, Category Management for Fast Moving Consumer Goods Industries
• Prior Account Management experience
• Fluent understanding of CAS forecasting, Nielsen and trade management system

Responsibilities

• Own P&L and implement customer plans including sales & marketing programs on retailer sites.
• Manage trade promotion budget for assigned customers per Mars policies.
• Develop comprehensive customer business plans to meet segment objectives.
• Provide timely information, category expertise and priorities to stakeholders.
• Consolidate and report retail feedback and opportunities.
• Provide category information and recommendations for growth to the customer.

Job Description:

The Associate Customer Manager is accountable for delivering business segment objectives and share of customer volume by delivering sales strategic objectives at the lowest possible cost. They are also responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive customer business plans to deliver annual operating plan within trade investment plan

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
• 4+ Years’ experience in Sales, Marketing, Category Management for Fast Moving Consumer Good Industries
• Prior Account Management experience
• Fluent understanding of CAS forecasting, Nielsen and trade management system

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Full responsibility for the P&L and implementation of the activity customer’s plan, including sales & marketing programs presentation on retailer sites.
• Manages the trade promotion budget at assigned customers in harmony with Mars policies and procedures and within assigned budgets
• Develops comprehensive customer business plans to deliver all business segment objectives
• Provides timely information, category expertise and priorities
• consolidating and reporting on retail feedback on executional issues and opportunities.
• Provides their customer with category information and makes recommendations for Category growth.

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.The total compensation package for this position will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits.Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.

The pay range shown is applicable to all US locations listed within the job posting:USD 108,160.00 - USD 148,720.00
