Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking an Associate Credentialing Specialist to support credentialing for initial and reappointment applications. The role includes maintaining a system-wide provider data repository and performing primary source verifications with accuracy.

Candidates should have an Associates Degree or 2 years of applicable experience, with a focus on credentialing, provider services, and healthcare administration.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree required; in lieu of education, leadership may consider 2 years of applicable experience.
• Credentialing, provider services, administrative support, business or healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with credentialing processes for initial and reappointment applications and maintain a system-wide provider data repository.
• Obtain and evaluate primary source verification of provider credentials and maintain current verifications that expire.
• Communicate milestones and significant findings to customers throughout the Sanford system; coordinate to meet regulatory and customer deadlines.
• Plan and manage daily tasks to ensure accuracy and efficiency across multiple internal/external communications.

Job Summary

The Associate Credentialing Specialist is responsible for tasks and processes developed to facilitate the credentialing process for initial and reappointment applications and maintain a current and accurate, system-wide data repository for provider information. Tasks include establishing and updating provider files through both an online and paper credentialing application and reapplication process, obtaining and evaluating primary source verification of provider credentials, maintaining current verifications that expire, and facilitating the communication of significant findings and process milestones to customers throughout the Sanford system. Must be able to work on daily tasks with efficiency and high quality accuracy. Other duties as assigned by department leadership per business need.

Demonstrates excellent customer service skills and take initiative to meet the needs of all to ensure customer focus and a positive experience. Communicates effectively and with a high level of diplomacy with providers. Must be able to work on multiple daily tasks with efficiency and high-quality accuracy while handling multiple internal and external customer communications. Responsible for planning work to meet regulatory and customer defined deadlines, which requires coordination to minimize redundancy of work when multiple organizations share common providers.
