Job summary

Genius AI in the United States seeks a Design Lead or ACD with deep branding, visual design, and motion expertise. You will shape a brand's visual identity and direct large-scale campaigns while mentoring designers and exploring AI-powered tooling.

You’ll report to the Creative Director and work in a hybrid setup, commuting to NYC or San Francisco. Expect cross-functional collaboration across marketing, product, events, and performance teams to deliver cohesive brand experiences.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in branding and visual design with a strong portfolio.
• Strong cross-functional stakeholder communication skills.
• Brand in-house and/or agency experience preferred.
• Expert in Figma and up to date on modern design tools, trends, and best practices including AI-assisted design tools.
• Comfortable integrating AI into your creative process to increase output quality and velocity, while maintaining a strong editorial eye and brand point of view.
• Strong understanding of design systems and how to apply them across channels.
• Exceptional eye for typography, color, layout, and overall visual craft.
• Bonus: Proficiency in Jitter, After Effects or similar motion tools.

About the Role

A highly experienced Design Lead or ACD, Design with deep expertise in branding, visual design, and a strong creative vision. You're a conceptual thinker who's equally comfortable shaping a brand's visual identity and art directing large-scale campaigns, with a laser-sharp eye for motion design and video, perfect for someone who thrives on variety and pushes creative boundaries. You're excited by the evolving landscape of creative and AI tooling, and bring that curiosity to the team by mentoring designers around you. You'll play a strategic and technical role in shaping our brand as we grow. You'll work cross-functionally to turn business goals into creative strategies, bringing new ideas to life across performance campaigns, brand programs, and more for our incredible customers.

You’ll report to the Creative Director. You must be commutable to our NYC headquarters or San Francisco office and will operate in a hybrid environment. We default to being in-office 3-4 days per week with required attendance on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
