Responsibilities / Position overview

We are seeking a collaborative and influential leader to serve as our Associate Creative Director of Content to draw out the best ideas and oversees top-notch execution in promotional medical communications on behalf of clients. The Associate Creative Director of Content will be a client ambassador skilled in understanding client needs and translating key objectives into compelling creative concepts and content. This role will also coach a team of promotional/pharmaceutical writers across various brands and platforms.

This client-facing role is instrumental in pitches and is responsible for understanding and managing the full creative process; starting with strategy to conceptualization, including presentation and iteration, through to execution and requires fluent storytelling skills to effectively communicate the team’s work in client presentations and brand deliverables.

The Associate Creative Director of Content is versed in the latest innovations in the marketplace and integrates that knowledge into concepts and content that exceed client expectations.

Other duties include:

  • Understanding client business needs with the ability to present and clearly articulate vision & strategy behind ideas to executive clients and internal stakeholders
  • In partnership with the art director team, ensures the quality of ideation and execution of all work across assigned brands
  • Be a thought leader to clients, internal stakeholders and in the content community. Educate and inspire colleagues from other departments to help gain understanding, protect, and sell the strongest creative ideas to clients
  • Curious about market developments and industry trends to proactively offer solutions and POVs to clients and internal colleagues
  • Oversee proper workflow, staffing and deployment of agency resources including fulltime staff and freelance
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of proven, hands-on creative promotional agency experience
  • Bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred) in life sciences or relevant field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency and problem-solving solutions
  • Ability to be a strategic thinker and can connect strategies to creative solutions
  • Flexible, deadline oriented, and ability to work as part of a multifunctional team.
  • Familiarity with the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries
  • Ability to quickly and amicably respond to changing client needs and conditions
