Job summary

Centerstone in Hannibal, MO is seeking an Associate Counselor to support individuals with mental health and substance use disorders. You will implement treatment plans under close supervision, participate in screenings, and assist with counseling sessions in a dedicated outpatient setting.

The position is full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M., in a supportive team environment with opportunities to grow in behavioral health and client care.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or high school diploma/equivalent required.
• Must meet trainee registration and supervision requirements per Missouri Credentialing Board or relevant professional board.
• Supervision by a Qualified Addiction Professional who has completed MCB Clinical Supervision Training.

Responsibilities

• Participate in screening/assessment processes under supervision.
• Develop individualized treatment plans.
• Complete timely correspondence and documentation.
• Attend clinical staffing/team meetings.
• Meet weekly Collaborative Service Goal (CSG) expectations.
• Ensure documentation aligns with treatment plans and standards.
• Facilitate group and individual counseling sessions.
• Assist clients through transitions and discharge processes.
• Maintain professional relationships and adhere to ethical standards.
• Handle crisis situations appropriately.
• Complete annual training per ASAM standards.

Education and/or Experience Qualifications

Missouri Requirements:

• Associate’s degree or high school diploma/equivalent required

Additional Qualifications
