Job summary

Burrell Behavioral Health in Steelville, Missouri, is seeking an Associate Counselor to support recovery services under supervision. You will help develop and implement treatment plans, participate in clinical meetings, and document services in accordance with standards.

The role provides learning and growth opportunities in addiction treatment, with a collaborative team environment and opportunities for professional development within our mission-driven organization.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or high school diploma/equivalent required.
• Must be a trainee meeting registration and supervision requirements per Missouri Credentialing Board.
• Must be supervised by a Qualified Addiction Professional who has completed MCB Clinical Supervision Training.

Responsibilities

• Assist in screening and assessment under supervision.
• Develop treatment plans based on assessment data under supervision.
• Participate in clinical staffing and team meetings.
• Document services per regulatory standards.
• Ensure treatment plans and discharge summaries are countersigned by a Qualified Addiction Professional.
• Assist with client transitions and correspondence.
• Complete annual ASAM training.
• Maintain professional relationships with clients and referrals.
• Handle crises and notify supervisors.
• Facilitate group counseling and individual sessions.
• Support short-term and long-term company goals.
