What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):

  1. Research laws and prepare legal briefs, opinions, and memoranda
  2. Provide opinions on liability, damages, and value as requested by the Claims Department
  3. Prepare and handle pleadings, motions, and discovery, including depositions and examinations under oath
  4. Defend assigned matters by trial or dispositive hearing
  5. Document files clearly and concisely for various stakeholders

What is Required (Qualifications):

  1. 2 to 6+ years of litigation experience in insurance defense and/or personal injury
  2. Juris Doctor degree
  3. Admission to the New York Bar
  4. Must be licensed in good standing to practice law in New York
  5. Ability to travel for trials, hearings, and meetings

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
