The Arizona Association of REALTORS® (AAR) seeks an Associate Counsel to provide legal support on contracts, statutes, regulations, and risk management for its 50,000 members and the real estate industry.

This is a full-time, on-site role in Phoenix, Arizona, with a salary of $100,000 to $120,000 depending on experience; benefits include employer‑paid health insurance, a 401(k) with match, holidays, vacation, sick time and life insurance.

The Arizona Association of REALTORS® (AAR) is looking for an Associate Counsel to provide legal support to the Association on a wide range of issues affecting its 50,000 Arizona REALTOR® members and the real estate industry. This is a full-time, on-site attorney position located in Phoenix, Arizona, with a salary between $100,000 to 120,000 depending on experience.

Responsibilities will include reviewing and negotiating contracts; researching and analyzing statutes, regulations, and case law; drafting and revising standard forms used by REALTORS®; monitoring legal and regulatory developments affecting real estate professionals and the general public; and assisting with Association policies, governance, and risk-management matters.

The Associate Counsel will also play an important member-facing role. The position will address legal issues raised by REALTORS®, provide practical legal information and risk-management guidance, and develop educational materials on emerging legal issues. The attorney will regularly present at meetings, conferences, webinars, and other educational programs, making the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and effectively to a non-legal audience particularly important.

An ideal candidate will have a strong background in Arizona real estate and contract law, excellent legal research and writing skills, and the ability to translate complex legal issues into practical guidance. More important, the candidate should have excellent communication and presentation skills and be comfortable speaking to both small groups and large audiences.
