Job summary

Rivers Casino Philadelphia seeks an experienced in-house Counsel to provide guidance across all departments on legal matters, and to represent Rivers in civil litigation, employment and regulatory matters. You will draft and review contracts, provide cross-functional legal advice, and assist the General Counsel on various administrative duties.

The role requires 3+ years of litigation experience, a Pennsylvania Bar license, and strong drafting/negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• Must have a Juris Doctor degree and be admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar.

Summary

Provides guidance and advisory support to all departments on legal matters and represents Rivers on certain civil litigation, employment and regulatory matters.

Essential Job Functions

• Represent Rivers in a variety of civil litigation matters.
• Represent Rivers in connection with employment and labor law disputes.
• Draft and review contracts on behalf of Rivers.
• Provide legal advice to all Rivers departments.
• Assist the General Counsel on all Rivers matters including various administrative duties.
• Independently manage an active caseload.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Law Degree from ABA accredited law school
• Member of Pennsylvania Bar.
• 3+ years’ litigation experience, with an emphasis on personal injury, labor and employment; workers compensation experience a plus.
• Excellent drafting and negotiating skills.
• Ability to lead a team as well as roll up your sleeves and work independently.
• A conceptual thinker with strong vision, judgment and intellect with ability to work quickly on and prioritize a wide variety of projects.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with team members at all levels.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with quick deadlines and multiple demands.
• Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing.
