You will provide legal guidance on responsible AI development and data governance, advising product teams and leadership. You will collaborate with product managers, scientists, engineers, and cross‑functional stakeholders to navigate regulatory and compliance challenges while maintaining Amazon’s commitment to innovation.

Qualifications

In this role, you will provide legal guidance on responsible AI development and data governance.

Key job responsibilities

You will advise one or more business teams and business leaders as a product counsel supporting AGI's responsible AI and data governance teams. You will partner with product managers, scientists, engineers, and other cross‑functional stakeholders to provide guidance on innovative tools and products to help teams build and deploy AI services responsibly by design. And you’ll do all of this with support from and in collaboration with a dynamic, experienced, and global team of lawyers at Amazon Legal.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be curious, innovative, and enthusiastic about tech. You should enjoy being challenged, demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations, and thrive in a team‑oriented environment.

• 2+ years of legal experience
• Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
