Job summary

TALISMAN is seeking an Associate-level attorney to join its in-house team, handling transactional work across solar, wind and storage projects in the US. The role sits close to deal teams and reports to senior legal leadership.

You will draft and negotiate PPA, EPC, MSAs, NDAs, and M&A documents, support corporate formation, and assist project financing while helping refine templates and processes.

Qualifications

• JD and an active license to practice law.
• 1–3 years post-qualification experience; renewable energy or infrastructure background is a plus but not essential.
• Strong drafting and negotiation instincts, and the confidence to deal directly with commercial counterparts.
• Collaborative style suitable for lean team environments.
• Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office and virtual data rooms (Box, Dropbox, SharePoint, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a broad mix of agreements (PPA, EPC, MSAs, NDAs, M&A diligence).
• Owning corporate formation matters and related processes.
• Supporting project finance workstreams, including financing docs and KYC diligence.
• Helping build and refine contract templates and internal processes.
• Handling overflow work in a small legal function.

Our client, a growing independent power producer active in utility-scale solar, wind, and battery storage is looking to add an Associate-level attorney to its in-house legal team. The company operates across the full project lifecycle - greenfield development, co-development, and acquisition of later-stage assets- and has an established, growing portfolio of completed renewable energy projects. This is an in-house seat with real transactional variety, sitting close to deal teams and reporting into senior legal leadership.

Responsibilities:

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a broad mix of agreements: power purchase agreements, EPC and construction-related contracts, master service agreements, NDAs, and M&A documentation (including diligence).
• Owning corporate formation matters and the processes that sit around them.
• Supporting project finance workstreams, including ancillary financing documents and KYC diligence.
• Helping build and refine the company's contract templates and internal legal processes.
• Picking up overflow work across a small legal function, so no two weeks look the same.

Skills and Personal Qualities:
