Job summary

Automated Logic, a Carrier Global Corporation company, seeks an Associate Controls Engineer to design and program building automation systems for specific customer projects. You will prepare design documents, configure control systems, and develop interfaces, while ensuring compliance with project standards.

You will collaborate with sales and engineering, test interfaces, and communicate risks and opportunities.

About This Role

As an Associate Controls Engineer, you will be crucial to ALC’s business through the designing of building automation systems created specifically for each individual customer. We are looking for someone who works well in a team and has excellent problem-solving, time management, and multi-tasking skills. You will work to build new skills and advance existing skills while completing smaller projects on your own.

Required Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree OR High School Diploma / GED with 2+ years of HVAC/BMS experience.
• Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the USA. No visa sponsoring available.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering or construction discipline.
• Experience in HVAC controls, Building Automation, or related industry.
• Basic knowledge of primary functions of building automation system software and associated engineering tools, Automated Logic suites preferred.
• Basic knowledge of Automated Logic software, peripherals, add‑ons, services, or hardware design.
• Understanding and/or experience with IP networks.
• Understanding and/or experience with Microsoft Visio and/or similar software.
• Ability to understand written sequences of operations, diagrammatic depictions of systems.
• Familiar with third‑party communication protocols used in building automation, such as BACnet, Modbus, SNMP, LON, N2, etc.
• Able to translate technical information to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Capable of climbing ladders or using other lift equipment over 8 feet above grade, and capable of lifting items up to 50lbs.

Pay Range

The annual salary for this position is between $53,000.00 - $106,000.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate. The pay range will not be below the minimum wage applicable to the jurisdiction in which the applicant is to be employed.

Other Compensation

Thisposition may be entitled to short‑term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
