Job summary

FloSports seeks an associate content creator to lead day-to-day content strategy for FloTrack, turning live event coverage into engaging social content that drives viewership and subscriptions.

FloSports is a world-class sports media company strategically positioned to be the essential destination for passionate sports fans, delighting them with live event coverage, breaking news, highlights, stats, rankings, and team and player profiles. We are growing Our Sports every day by continuing to invest in our ever-expanding ecosystem, which consists of over a dozen sport verticals and hundreds of streaming partners. FloSports is creating the home for college conferences/leagues and sports like grappling, hockey, track & field, racing, cheer, wrestling, and more, and we are looking for innovative and passionate people like you to help us!

THE ROLE:

FloSports is looking for an associate content creator to help lead the day-to-day content strategy and execution for FloTrack.

This is a highly hands-on role for someone who deeply understands track and field / running disciplines and knows how to turn FloSports' live event portfolio into content that grows our audience, creates excitement and drives fans to sign up and watch.

You should be a true subject matter expert who understands the players, teams, programs, recruiting landscape, rivalries and storylines that matter to fans. You should also be an excellent social content creator who thrives around live sports and is comfortable identifying, clipping and publishing the biggest moments in real time.

The work does not stop when the event ends. A major part of this role will be finding ways to continuously maximize FloSports' live event assets by repackaging games into highlights, short-form videos, athlete features, compilations and other content that extends the value and reach of our rights.

While this role will primarily focus on FloTrack, you will also regularly contribute to priority events and initiatives across the broader FloSports portfolio.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create content plans around our live programming and storylines with the goal of driving viewership and subscription signups
• Identify the narratives, rivalries, players and stakes that can make upcoming events feel must-watch
• Actively cover live games and events in real time by identifying key moments, clipping live broadcasts and quickly publishing content across social platforms
• Maximize FloSports' live event library by turning full-game replays into highlights, short-form clips, player-focused content, compilations and other formats that extend the life of each event
• Manage social channels, including publishing, programming and day-to-day editorial decisions
• Build content strategies that connect with both highly engaged fans and broader audiences who may be less familiar with the athletes or events
• Use performance data and audience insights to understand what drives engagement, viewership and subscription conversion
• Look for opportunities to increase social and video monetization while keeping audience growth and subscription acquisition as the primary focus
• Assign and coordinate work with freelancers, contributors, photographers and other external resources as needed
• Collaborate closely with marketing, design, production, rights, sales and other FloSports teams around major events and company priorities
• Support priority events and content initiatives across other FloSports verticals when needed
• Maintain strong editorial judgment, accuracy and quality across all published content
• Travel to selected events to create on-site content, support live coverage and capture additional access-driven storytelling opportunities

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Deep knowledge of track and field / running disciplines, including major teams, athletes, programs, events, recruiting, culture and storylines across the sport
• Strong experience creating social-first sports content, particularly short-form video and real-time event coverage
• Demonstrated ability to identify compelling moments from live games and quickly turn them into engaging social content
• Strong understanding of how to build anticipation, narratives and stakes around live sports
• Experience managing social channels and making day-to-day editorial and programming decisions
• Strong video instincts, including an understanding of what makes a clip, highlight or moment perform
• Experience using analytics to understand content performance and inform future decisions
• Strong understanding of how social and digital content can contribute to audience growth, live-event viewership and subscription acquisition
• Familiarity with social and video monetization strategies
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, live-events-driven environment, including nights and weekends when major events require coverage
• Comfortable traveling for selected events and producing content in an on-site environment
• Highly organized, proactive and comfortable owning projects from idea through execution
• Strong collaborator who can work across multiple teams without needing a large team or direct reports to get things done
