Job Description

This role is based in the LCCI Commercial BI&A team and collaborates closely with the NAPAC (Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, South Korea, Taiwan) BI&A/OCE team to provide high-quality market intelligence support, enhancing customer experience and business impact. The NAPAC BI&A team is well-established and works with brand teams to deliver data insights and enable informed decision-making.

Project Execution:

  • Develop deep expertise on available data sets, supporting data-enabled decision-making using external supplier data in NAPAC and internal sources.
  • Consistently deliver high-quality, timely, and insightful reports to enable brand and senior leadership to monitor Eli Lilly brand performance.
    • Develop and publish regular market intelligence reports on KPIs such as Sales, sales growth, wholesaler inventory, market share, market growth, sales force activity, P2P, and promotional engagement metrics.
  • Work on prescriptive and predictive analytical models to answer unstructured business questions.
    • Map physician journeys in an omnichannel environment.
    • Understand physicians' preferred communication channels.
    • Calculate ROI of various marketing tactics.
  • Become a trusted advisor by actively participating in project phases, including kick-off, methodology development, execution, insight generation, data visualization, and stakeholder presentations.
  • Identify and execute opportunities for productivity improvements through automation or process changes.

Requirements:

  • Preferred degree in sciences or quantitative discipline, e.g., Econometrics, Statistics, Engineering, or Computer Sciences.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in business/market intelligence, performance reporting, and descriptive analytics in the pharma industry, with proven results in handling complex datasets.
  • Experience with prescriptive analytics like physician journey mapping, ROI modeling, and forecasting.
  • Exposure to advanced analytics algorithms for predictive modeling.
  • Experience collaborating with international business partners.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working remotely across time zones.
  • Ability to operate effectively in an international matrix environment.

Preferred Technical Skills:

  • Hands-on experience managing and querying relational data servers.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python or R, Excel, and VBA.
  • Experience designing and deploying reports, dashboards, and apps in Power BI, including DAX and Power Query M-Code.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing and BI concepts, and building data models in Power BI.
  • Experience with Alteryx or KNIME is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS & Azure.
  • Experience with data cleaning, preparation, and reporting basics.
  • Pharmaceutical forecasting experience is a plus.
