Job summary

Coastal is seeking an Associate Consultant I for Lexington, KY, as part of the TIDE program. This onsite training-focused role launches a technology consulting career with hands-on client exposure and Salesforce knowledge development.

You will complete the Coastal Training Program, shadow client calls, and work toward Salesforce certifications, with training-focused growth and potential enrollment on client projects after the program.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate or Graduate degree in related field with exposure to technology, business, or consulting.
  • Less than one year of hands-on Salesforce experience; Salesforce Certifications will be considered on a case by case basis.
  • Ability to commute to one of our office locations: Lexington, KY; Atlanta, GA; or Tysons Corner, VA
  • Completion of the Coastal Training Program (pre-interview) Trailmix on Trailhead
  • Interest in the technology and consulting industries and strong technical aptitude (Microsoft Office, GSuite, various coding/automation languages, etc)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication, relationship building, presentation skills, teamwork, and adaptability
  • Self-starter, takes initiative, willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced industry surrounded by like-minded individuals
  • Strong interest in technical consulting and B2B SaaS implementation
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to quickly assimilate and apply new concepts, business models, and technologies
  • Experience with Google Suite products and exposure to CRM software is a plus
  • Ability to travel to client sites as required (25-50%)
  • Must have a full-time, permanent work authorization in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Complete independent and group training activities related to technology and consulting skills & complete and present a group-based case study, weaving throughout the training period
  • Stay on task and meet all deadlines as part of the training curriculum while communicating effectively with managers, administrators, and peers
  • Prepare and sit for the Salesforce Certified Administrator Exam by the end of the training period (We will cover the cost of all Salesforce Certifications!)
  • After completion of the training period, the Associate Consultant I will:
  • Work effectively individually and with Coastal and client members toward customer satisfaction and success
  • Take direction from project team members and immediate supervisor
  • Demonstrate a basic level of knowledge of common enterprise systems CRM or ERP
  • Understand and document client business processes and identify related systems touch-points
  • Understand client requirements and pain points, as well as user acceptance test scripts
  • Test functionality from the perspective of various users/personas Seeks opportunities to develop professional skills
  • Exercise independent judgment on small engagements or as a part of a team on large projects.
  • Achieve necessary technical certifications
  • Demonstrate the ability to perform Salesforce.com administration, configuration, and data migration duties as directed

Associate Consultant I, Lexington - Summer 2027

Coastal is looking for motivated individuals interested in launching a career in technology consulting. This entry-level, onsite position, with training included (TIDE), is designed for those with an interest in technology, consulting and networking, and learning new tangible skills through a (fun!) comprehensive and cohort-style experience. We are looking for recent college graduates, both undergraduate and graduate, with an interest in technology or consulting to join our team via the TIDE program.

The TIDE training program at the start of your position will provide you with the skills needed to be successful in the technology industry. You’ll work closely alongside top industry leaders, shadowing real client calls and internal meetings, completing team-focused case studies based on real client scenarios, and of course, experiencing a fun and flexible team culture at one of the top Salesforce partners in the country. After successful completion of the training period, you’ll have not only gained hands-on Salesforce knowledge, communication and presentation skills, networking and career development (and much more!), but also begin to work directly on our client projects.
