As an Associate Consultant (Change Management), you’ll bring your military-honed discipline and decision-making to the boardrooms and operations of some of the country’s largest companies – turning chaos into clear, executable plans.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Greencastle helps organizations solve operational and strategic challenges across four core disciplines: Project Management, Change Management, Process Improvement, and Data & Analytics. As an Associate Consultant, you'll work directly with client executives and project teams to:

• Stand up and run projects: Defining scope, building schedules, and managing budgets so initiatives land on time and on budget
• Find and fix what's broken: Running root cause analysis on inefficient processes and designing the fix
• Get people to actually change: Building change management strategies that drive real adoption, not just a memo nobody reads
• Build the structure that holds it together: Designing governance models tailored to how a specific client actually operates

You’ll apply the same planning rigor that military members use in MDMP, NPP, MCPP, or JOPPA to civilian business problems. Every consultant at Greencastle is a veteran – it’s not a preference, it’s who we are – because that planning discipline transfers directly and clients notice the difference.

HOW YOU’LL GROW

Beyond day-to-day project work, Associate Consultants at Greencastle:

• Receive direct mentorship from senior consultants and Managing Directors who’ve walked the same path from military service or corporate careers into consulting
• Get exposure across all four service delivery options rather than being boxed into one specialty
• Build toward Consultant and Senior Consultant roles with a transparent, merit-based promotion track (see compensation progression below)
• Get dedicated time to give back to the veteran community as part of the job, not as an add-on

CLIENT LOCATIONS & TRAVEL EXEPECTATIONS

Greencastle is headquartered in Malvern, PA, and serves clients across the United States. We prioritize candidates in the Greater Philadelphia region given proximity to headquarters and our highest concentration of client offices, but we also hire regionally where we have active engagements.

Current client footprint includes:

- Greater Philadelphia / Malvern, PA (HQ)

- Chicago, IL

- Poughkeepsie, NY

- Phoenix, AZ

- Louisville, KY

- Rhode Island

Travel is periodic and engagement-dependent, typically short-duration site visits or temporary on-site support rather than constant relocation. Candidates within commuting distance of an active client region are preferred over those who’d need to fly.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

- Military veteran (Greencastle hires exclusively from the veteran community)

- Experience in a formal military planning process (MDMP, NPP, MCPP, JOPPA, or equivalent)

- A genuine commitment to client success, a desire to play by adult rules, GSD™, and a commitment to strengthening veteran communities

Preferred:

- Military leadership experience (command time or equivalent)

- Master's degree or MBA

- Experience in consulting, project management, finance, or business intelligence — or related certifications/training (PMP, Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt or higher, SAFe, ACMP/ProSci Change Management)

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• The typical base salary range for an Associate Consultant is $85,000–$120,000, with total initial compensation typically $95,000–$130,000. Pay progression is merit-based and transparent — new team members average 15% base raises in their first two years, with top performers exceeding 40%.
