The Associate Construction Manager supports the construction team in executing capital expenditures, vacant space preparation, and tenant improvement projects within their geographic area. Responsibilities include budgeting, organizing, tracking, and ensuring timely, cost-effective project completion. This role reports to the Director, Regional Construction.

Responsibilities
  • Proactive communication with construction, property management, and asset management teams.
  • Executing projects in accordance with lease terms and Link standards.
  • Forecasting capital cash projections accurately.
  • Completing projects within forecasted timeframes and budgets.
  • Building positive relationships with vendors to uphold Link’s reputation.
  • Assisting in providing budget guidance to Asset Management teams.
  • Serving as a point of contact for contractors and clients on construction issues.
  • Regional reporting for monthly cash forecasts.
  • Updating project and budget statuses with documentation.
  • Managing costs related to external teams, permits, and inspections.
  • Travel within the Chicago/Wisconsin market, averaging 1-2 days per week, for overseeing activities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related field preferred.
  • At least 2 years of commercial construction experience.
  • Experience with new construction, renovation, development, and industrial projects.
  • Ability to review construction documents and legal contracts.
  • Proficiency with project management software, Yardi, Blue Beam, Microsoft Project, and Excel.
  • Capability to manage multiple projects at different stages.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Salary range: $90,000 - $100,000, subject to location and experience. Benefits include health insurance, retirement plans, paid holidays, and time off.
