ABOUT OUR CONSTRUCTION DELAY TEAM

Ever wonder what happens when a major construction project does not go according to plan? When deadlines slip, costs increase, and questions arise, our Construction Delay team steps in to help uncover the story behind the schedule. We dig into project timelines, records, data, drawings, and documents to understand what caused delays and how they affected the project. As part of the team, you will work alongside experts in engineering, construction management, architecture, scheduling, and accounting on high‑profile buildings, infrastructure, power and utilities, and oil and gas projects around the world. It is a hands‑on opportunity to sharpen your problem‑solving skills, work with real project data, learn how consulting works, and see how your analysis can help clients make sense of complex, high‑stakes situations.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Get hands‑on experience learning how major construction project schedules are built, updated, and analyzed to uncover what caused delays.
    • Work with scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project to explore project timelines and understand how work actually progressed.
    • Dig into construction schedules, drawings, progress reports, emails, and project records to piece together key facts and identify what really happened.
    • Analyze large sets of project data to spot trends, patterns, and details that help explain why a project finished early, late, or differently than planned.
    • Help turn research and analysis into clear expert reports, presentations, and client deliverables that support real‑world decisions.
  • Build the core skills that set strong consultants apart
    • Sharpen your analytical thinking by tackling complex questions with data, documents, and real project information.
    • Strengthen your attention to detail by finding the small pieces of information that can make a big difference in an analysis.
    • Practice explaining your findings clearly and confidently to teammates, experts, and clients.
    • Learn how to manage your time across multiple priorities while contributing to fast‑moving client deadlines.
    • Grow as a communicator in a professional, team‑oriented environment where your work helps make complex issues easier to understand.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, building construction, architecture, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Available to start between January 2027 and September 2027.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Prior experience with construction project management, scheduling, cost controls, internships, research, student projects, or similar hands‑on work is helpful, but not required.
  • Comfort using Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; curiosity and willingness to learn new analytical and scheduling tools are equally important.
  • Ability to travel as needed, generally under 15%, though travel may vary by project.
  • A collaborative mindset, strong communication skills, and an interest in working with supportive teams to solve complex problems.
  • An organized, detail‑oriented, and creative approach to problem‑solving, with the confidence to ask questions, share ideas, and keep learning.
